Edward Luce was born in in 1968 and graduated from New College, Oxford with a degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics. He has worked for the Financial Times since 1995, and between 1999 and 2000 was the speechwriter for Larry Summers, US Treasury Secretary in the Clinton Administration. He was recently working as the Financial Times South Asia Bureau Chief, based in New Delhi. He is currently the FT's Washington correspondent and commentator.
