Liam McIlvanney is Stuart Professor of Scottish Studies at the University of Otago, NZ. His first book, BURNS THE RADICAL, won the Saltire First Book Award in 2002. He is a contributor to the London Review of Books. His first novel was ALL THE COLOURS OF THE TOWN.  His second, WHERE THE DEAD MEN GO, which featues the same protagonist, Gerrry Conway, will be published by Faber in September 2013.
