SKIPPY DIES (SKIPPY TUSSEN DE STERREN, translated by Dirk-Jan Arensman) won the Dioraphte Literature Prize (DJP) 2012, a Dutch Literary Prize awarding books written for young adults. The judges described Murray's novel as a “heartbreaking, comical, overwhelming and committed” story of adolescence.
Anne-Gine Goeman’s GLIDE FLIGHT won best original Dutch book and MAGNUS by Arjen Lubach won the audience award. The three winning titles were awarded EUR 15,000 at the award ceremony yesterday evening in Amsterdam.
